Huck Finn one day trip
The exquisite series of 16 emerald green and opal blue travertine lakes, more than 90 waterfalls and numerous caves make Plitvice Lakes National Park a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The lakes are surrounded by beech and pine forests and are home to extensive wildlife. The Park has opened its doors to visitors on 2 wheels just recently. The route is a part of Huck Finn 5- and 8-day Cycling Croatian National Parks package.
2012 PRICELIST
Prices: 35 € per person (250 Kuna)
Included: guide, use of necessary equipment (bikes, helmets, spare parts), insurance. The entrance to the Park is NOT included (approximately 16 €).
Price of bike rental for the day: 20 € / day / per person (rental of bikes and helmets)
Transport: on request
Optional lunch: Feel free to contact us is you wish to make reservations for lunch.

CANCELLATIONS
In the unlikely case of extreme weather conditions Huck Finn Adventure Travel will re-schedule the activity for a day or two prior or after the date booked, if possible. If the change is not possible, the payments will be refunded in full.
All client's cancellations must be in writing - by email or fax.
Cancellation charges per person (percentage of total price):
- 8 or more days prior to arrival 0%
- 2-7 days prior to arrival 50%
- 1 day prior to arrival or no show 100%
Program & Gear List
We will meet in Korana village at the doorstep of Plitvice Lakes National Park at 10 am. You can leave your car here for the day. There will be time for a short break by the river Korana which flows through the village or even a swim. After providing you with the equipment and giving you short safety instructions, we start the excursion. Cycling / biking, relaxing and enjoying the scenery are a part of this trip. Plitvice is Croatia's premier national park. Numerous waterfalls and lakes fed by both the Black and White Rivers, as well as seemingly endless forests make this cycling / biking tour a unique and unforgettable experience. The trip ends in Korana village.
Equipment: Quality road touring bicycles and helmets are provided for your safety.
Things to bring with you: shorts, T-shirt and sport shoes, sun cream, water.Optional picnic, but we can also organise lunch for you on request.
Huck Finn is not responsible for the loss or damage of your personal items.
PROGRAM
Guided tour:
10.00 Arrival in Korana Village. Meet your guide and have a short break by the river.
10.30 Instructions and safety briefing. Testing the bikes.
11.00 Start of the cycling / biking.
15.00 End of the trip.
Note: This itinerary is subject to change dependent on group abilities and preferences, weather and special events. Huck Finn guides and trip Leaders will do their utmost to ensure the best possible experience for their clients without compromising safety at any time. This may mean changing the original itinerary to avoid discomfort or risk which could be caused by exceptional heat or cold, stormy weather, heavy traffic or other reasons beyond our control.

How to get there
From Zagreb/Karlovac/Slunj:
Take the highway Zagreb-Karlovac, exit Karlovac. Then take the local road in the direction of Slunj and Plitvice Lakes. Before arriving to Plitvice Lakes, turn right in the direction of Plaski / Saborsko. After a few meters turn left to Korana Selo (Korana village). Our meeting point is at the end of the village by the river hacienda.
From Zadar:
Take the highway from Zadar in the direction of Zagreb. Get off at Gornja Ploca exit. Take the local road to Plitvicka Jezera. The driving time from Zadar is around 1h45 min. After passing the Park (a few minutes drive) turn strong left in the direction of Plaski / Saborsko. After a few meters turn left to Korana Selo (Korana village). Our meeting point is at the end of the village by the river hacienda.
