2013 PRICELIST

Prices: 47 € per person (350 Kuna)

Child discount: 50% for children under 12 years

Included: guide, transfer, use of equipment, insurance.

Optional lunch: lunch from 10 € per person. You can make reservations for lunch before we start the trip.

Discount: for 20 persons booked, 1 ticket is for free. Additional discount 1,5€ (10 Kuna) per persons for groups of 35 people and more.

DEPARTURE DATES

April-October: Mondays and Thursdays

Other days on request. The kayaking is possible every day of the week for a minimum of 6 people.

CANCELLATIONS

In the unlikely case of extreme weather conditions Huck Finn Adventure Travel will reschedule the activity for a day or two prior or after the date booked, if possible. If the change is not possible, the payments will be refunded in full.

All client's cancellations must be in writing - by email or fax.
Cancellation charges per person (percentage of total price):

- 8 or more days prior to arrival              0%
- 2-7 days prior to arrival                        50%
- 1 day prior to arrival or no show           100%

Program & Gear List

Transfer by boat or ferry from Dubrovnik to Kolocep Island. It takes up to 30 minutes to get from Dubrovnik harbour to Kolocep.
Here on the sandy beach we will board the kayaks and start our journey. You will surely be impressed by the dramatic scenery with hidden dark caves, high cliffs and colorful reefs. We will explore the silent underwater world in one of its most interesting spots and have a rest on the beach.
Walk through Gornje Celo and Donje Celo, well preserved romantic Mediterranean villages, and along high cliffs.  Lunch will be offered in the bay Gornje Celo in a family run restaurant just by the sea.
Kolocep has more than 250 sunny days a year. Clear waters surrounding the island range from deep blue to turquoise aqua. The island’s flora includes stands of tall pine and olive groves.

Equipment: We use professional sit-on-top kayaks with 2 seats and a 3rd one in the middle for children. You will get a dry bag for personal items (camera, drinks, etc.), a life jacket, a paddle and snorkel gear.

Things to bring with you: shorts or bathing suit, T-shirt and sandals (or sport shoes), towel, sun cream, water.
Huck Finn is not responsible for the loss or damage of your personal items.

13.30    Stop for optional lunch in Gornje Celo bay
16.00    End in Donje Celo, the trip start point

Note: This itinerary is subject to change dependent on group abilities and preferences, weather and special events. Huck Finn guides and trip Leaders will do their utmost to ensure the best possible experience for their clients without compromising safety at any time. This may mean changing the original itinerary to avoid discomfort or risk which could be caused by exceptional heat or cold, stormy weather, heavy traffic or other reasons beyond our control.

How to get there

From Dubrovnik:

There is a ship going to Kolocep island from Dubrovnik main port called Gruz, at 10 am. You can buy the boat tickets at the Jadrolinija office just across the ship Postira.

We had the great fortune to seakayak around the island of Kolocep with Bavi from Huck Finn. Peggy, the office manager, was great in arranging our pick up and drop off from our accomodations. The sea kayaking was absolutely amazing. Bavi gave us a quick tutorial and we were off. Without stopping, it's about a two hour paddle around the island, but we stopped to swim, rest and explore some incredible caves that would give the Italian Blue Grotto a run for the money. I would highly recommend this tour company for a great day.

We booked a day trip Kayaking around Kolocep island. Huck Finn arranged to pick us up in Cavtat, drive all 7 of us to Dubrovnik, where we were ferried to Kolocep, and after brief training and intro in a smart hotel, we were whisked out to our Kayaks for a paddle completely round the island, touring caves and an excellent stop at a Taverna where we enjoyed a delicious light meal before continuing a trip back to the hotel.

As the Ferry was not running to a convenient time, the Huck Finn team took us back to the mainland in their own dinghy followed by a Mini bus. This was an excellent value day, that was not overly testing but memorable and enjoyable whilst in safe hands. Their representatives are knowledgable and professional. We would definitely use Huck Finn again.
