Sea Kayaking Lopud - Sipan
Huck Finn one day trip
Lopud is an island with lots of sunshine, sandy beaches and palm trees, devoid of traffic,
less than one hour ferry time from Dubrovnik. The only town has no more than a couple of hundred permanent residents, old houses of beautiful architecture and abundance of flowers everywhere which contribute to an easy going life style. The Lopud island produces its own seafood, vegetables, fruit and even tropical fruit like lemons, oranges and kiwis.
Here on the sandy beach we will board the sea kayaks and start a journey through a dramatic landscape of giant rocks, high cliffs, colorful reefs, hidden caves and quiet bays. We will explore the silent
underwater world and visit the small fishermen village Sudjurad on Sipan island.
2012 PRICELIST
Prices: 35 € per person (250 Kuna)
Child discount: 50% for children under 12 years
Included: guide, use of necessary equipment, insurance, snorkel gear
Transfer: on request. The cost of our transfer from/to Dubrovnik hotels is additional 7 € (50 Kuna) per person
Optional lunch: snack lunch from 10 € per person. Feel free to contact us is you wish to make reservations for lunch.
Discount: for 20 persons booked, 1 ticket is for free. Additional discount 1,5€ (10 Kuna) per persons for groups of 35 people and more.

Other days on request. The sea kayaking is possible every day of the week for a minimum of 6 people.

CANCELLATIONS
In the unlikely case of extreme weather conditions Huck Finn Adventure Travel will re-schedule the activity for a day or two prior or after the date booked, if possible. If the change is not possible, the payments will be refunded in full.
All client's cancellations must be in writing - by email or fax.
Cancellation charges per person (percentage of total price):
- 8 or more days prior to arrival 0%
- 2-7 days prior to arrival 50%
- 1 day prior to arrival or no show 100%
Program & Gear List
Transfer by boat or ferry from Dubrovnik to Lopud Island. It takes up to 50 minutes to get from Dubrovnik harbour to Lopud island.
After some kayaking instruction in the bay, we head with our kayaks to the island of Sipan and the colorful villages of Sudjuradj and Luka Sipanska. The kayaking takes about 40 minutes one way. The fields between these villages have preserved the traditional country life style with chapels, monasteries, palaces and summer houses of ancient Dubrovnik aristocracy. This island is unbelievably rich in cultural heritage, tales from the past and well preserved monuments that have witnessed its turbulent history.
Equipment: We use professional sit-on-top kayaks with 2 seats and a 3rd one in the middle for children. You will get a dry bag for personal items (camera, drinks, etc.), a life jacket, a paddle and snorkel gear.
Things to bring with you: shorts or bathing suit, T-shirt and sandals (or sport shoes), towel, sun cream, water.
Huck Finn is not responsible for the loss or damage of your personal items.

Pick up from hotel according to the plan between 9:00 and 9:30 am
10:45 Arrival on Lopud island
12:15 Arrival to Sudjuradj place on Sipan island
15:30 Kayaking back from Sipan to Lopud island
17:00 Return from Lopud to Dubrovnik and the hotels
Note: This itinerary is subject to change dependent on group abilities and preferences, weather and special events. Huck Finn guides and trip Leaders will do their utmost to ensure the best possible experience for their clients without compromising safety at any time. This may mean changing the original itinerary to avoid discomfort or risk which could be caused by exceptional heat or cold, stormy weather, heavy traffic or other reasons beyond our control.

How to get there
There is a ship going to Lopud island from Dubrovnik main port called Gruz, at 10 am. You can buy the boat tickets at the Jadrolinija office just across the ship Postira.
