Zaton Bay

Zaton is a village in southern Croatia, located on the coast of the eponymous bay, 8 km northwest of Dubrovnik, next to the village of Orasac. Chief occupations are farming, viticulture, olive growing and tourism.
Zaton is a tourist resort on the Dubrovnik Riviera, with restaurants, watersport venues, and an uphill hiking path to the village of Podbrezje (4.5 km), to visit Mociljska Cave with stalactites and stalagmites.

Zaton Bay

Veliki (Large) and Mali (Small) Zaton are located in a picturesque environment, surrounded by inlets with sandy beaches. Both locations are very pleasant for summer vacations.
Accommodations are available both in resorts and private homes. There are several excellent restaurants in the places.
The Renaissance summer manors of former Dubrovnik aristocracies are a historical site that makes Zaton bay recognizable as a Dubrovnik summer manor region. Noble families Gucetic, Mencetic, Sorkochevich, Saraka i Lukarevich had built their summer cottages in Zaton bay.
