This holiday is designed for those who love traveling, being active outdoors and exploring seaside, nature, heritage, history and art. Daily routes are rather short - 2 to 3 hours of easy sea kayaking - and not demanding, fit for all ages between 14 and late sixties (no previous sea kayaking experience is necessary). Dubrovnik in Croatia– one of the world’s most beautiful old towns - and Elafiti shorelines are rich in history and natural variety - cliffs, caves, pine and palm trees, hidden coves, reefs, sandy beaches...

Prices include:

Optional trips on are NOT included in price and can be booked and paid on spot. Optional trips cost approx 60€ per person, payable on site, and are dependent on suitable weather conditions. The price is based on a min. of 4 participants.
- Maximum number of participants: 16 guests per group. Larger group trips are on request.
- Minimum age: 8 years if accompanied by parent(s).
- Children discount: valid for children 8-14 years of age if accompanied by an adult. One child enjoying discount shares parents’ room; two or more children can have their own room.
- Rooms: family run guesthouses near the beaches on Kolocep island. Single use rooms are available upon request, with 20% surcharge. Sharing a room with another person is possible.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 - Saturday: Arrival in Dubrovnik.
Arrive at Dubrovnik airport and transfer to Kolocep island, 30 minutes sailing time from Dubrovnik. Your accommodation will be a private guesthouse. After settling into your room, there will be time to go for a swim and relax on the sandy beach. Meet your guide and the rest of the group for dinner to get to know each other and discuss the itinerary.

Day 2 - Sunday: Sea kayaking Zaton Bay and Rijeka Dubrovacka.
Safety and sea kayaking instructions will take place on the beach in the morning. Having chosen our kayaks, we head out to the mainland. Our first destination today is Zaton Bay, located 8 kilometers nothwest from Dubrovnik. Once we reach Zaton, we hop into a van for a short drive to Rijeka Dubrovacka. Rijeka Dubrovacka ("The River of Dubrovnik") is a deep bay protected from wind by the surrounding mountains, making it ideal for sea kayaking. We will enjoy the views of traditional 15th and 16th century waterfront Dubrovnik Villas as we kayak past them.

Day 3 - Monday: Sea kayaking to Lopud island
Back in our sea kayaks today as we cross the channel to another of the Elafiti Islands, Lopud. Our goal today is the sandy Sunj beach, one of the most beautiful and popular beaches in the entire area. There will be time to relax in the sun, go for a swim in the warm, crystal clear Adriatic, have lunch and enjoy an ice cream, cold beer or a cocktail in a beach bar. Lopud has some excellent hiking trails and offers spectacular views of the Elafiti Islands archipelago.

Day 4 - Tuesday: Sea kayaking around Kolocep island
Paddle, swim and snorkel around Kolocep island, Croatia's most interesting sea kayaking and hiking island with its dramatic scenery full of hidden dark caves, high cliffs and colorful reefs. Walk through Gornje Celo and Donje Celo, well preserved romantic Mediterranean villages and along high cliffs. Have a pleasant noon siesta in the quiet and relaxing atmosphere of Gornje Celo turquoise bay near Skerac – kayakers’ favorite restaurant.

Day 5 - Wednesday: Optional trip
Beach day. You are free to do whatever you enjoy the most - relax and sunbathe, swim, snorkel, walk and explore the island more or sea kayak.

Day 6 - Thursday: Dubrovnik and Lokrum island sea kayaking
Visit Dubrovnik, the most beautiful of all Mediterranean towns, for sightseeing, shopping in ancient streets and walking along city walls. Ice cream or coffee taste best in open air bistros along Stradun, Old Town’s main street and promenade. We will kayak around Lokrum, the "cursed island" near Dubrovnik with its Benedictine monastery, botanical garden, small lake popularly known as the "Dead Sea" and Fort Royal Castle.

Day 7 - Friday. Sailing around Kolocep and Sveti Andrija islands
Sailing is the main activity planned for this day. Usually the catamaran takes us on a half-day sailing trip around the exotic St. Andrija island, a favorite spot for thousands of birds, fishermen and dolphins. There will be several opportunities for swimming and snorkeling. Optionally, you can participate in 1-day Trebizat river canoeing excursion in Herzegovina including a visit to Mostar, a wonderful old Ottoman empire town and trading post (to be booked and paid on spot).

Day 8 - Departure.
Transfer to Dubrovnik for homebound flight. You are welcome to schedule your homeward transport for any time. If you decide to spend more time in Croatia, our guides will be happy to recommend other beautiful places to visit - especially those you won’t find in tourist guide books.

Gear List
This gear list has been created to help you in choosing your equipment for the trip. Try to bring only what is necessary, this will help you and the field staff. In addition to your usual clothing you should consider bringing along some other items which will make your activities more enjoyable. Required gear for paddling and cycling is provided.
