This sailing holiday takes you to the Dubrovnik region in the south of Croatia. You will explore the old walled town of Dubrovnik, Konavle, the Elafiti Islands, Mljet Island National Park and the Peljesac Penincula while sailing on a yacht and hiking.

Detailed Itinerary
5-day Sail and Hike from Tuesday
Day 1 - Saturday: Arrival in Dubrovnik and transfer to Zaton Bay
Our guide will meet you at Dubrovnik airport, harbour or bus station. Transfer to Zaton Bay, approximately 20 minutes from Dubrovnik. Discover interesting hiking trails which offer lovely views of the the Elafiti Islands Archipelago, or sunbathe on a secluded beach. Meet the group in the evening and discuss the upcoming itinerary.
Accommodation: Zaton Bay guesthouse.
Day 2 - Sunday: Dubrovnik, Lokrum and Mt Srdj walking
Today we explore Dubrovnik, one of the most beautiful towns in Croatia and the Mediterranean. Take this opportunity to explore ancient streets, churches and city walls. Escape to Lokrum island after the city becomes too busy - a short boat ride away, this island offers some lovely hiking trails, olive and botanical gardens and an old Benedictine monastery. In the afternoon we set off to Mt Srdj to enjoy some spectacular views of the Dubrovnik area.

Day 3 - Monday: Konavle and Cavtat walking
We will spend the morning walking in the Konavle region south of Dubrovnik. We will enjoy the sights, scents and sounds of Konavle during the scenic hiking tour before stopping for an optional lunch in a renovated mill. Afterwards we will visit Cavtat, the largest settlement in Konavle, where we will board the boat that will take us to Dubrovnik for the evening. Each visit to the walled Old Town is a truly special experience. Use this opportunity to explore the narrow streets, attend a concert, visit the aquarium or just enjoy the atmosphere.

Day 4 - Tuesday: Mljet Island National Park walking
This morning we will take a boat to Mljet Island National Park. Upon arrival, you will have the opportunity to drop off your bags and we will start exploring the island. The national park area includes two salt water lakes surrounded by a lush, green forest, the larger one with a small island with a 15th century Benedictine monastery in the middle. It is truly a spectacular location for outdoor activities. The water in the lakes is warm and perfect for swimming. Board the yacht in the afternoon.

Day 5 - Wednesday: Peljesac Peninsula walking
Today we sail to the Peljesac Peninsula, a region most famous for the superb wine produced there. Some of its most beautiful beaches can only be reached by boat and we will make sure to stop for a swim. We will hike in Zuljana village located in a secluded bay and in Ston, a lovely old town with the longest wall in Europe.

Day 6 - Thursday: Sipan island walking
Sipan is the largest of the the Elafiti Islands. Luka Sipanska, on the far end of the island, is a charming and romantic fishing village in a bay surrounded with palm trees. We will explore its landscape, castles, chapels and monasteries on foot. A pleasant day will be spent walking in the serene ambiance of the village, tasting local seafood and wines and enjoying a swim.

Day 7 - Friday: Kolocep island walking
Transfer to a guesthouse on the mainland in Zaton Bay. Kolocep is another island in the Elafiti Islands Archipelago. There are no roads, cars or traffic, only hiking trails. You will enjoy its high cliffs on the southern and tame beaches on the northern side of the island. Have a pleasant noon siesta in the quiet and relaxing atmosphere of Gornje Celo turquoise bay near Skerac – our favorite restaurant.

Day 8 - Saturday: Departure.
Transfer to the airport. You are welcome to book your flight for any time. If you decide to spend more time in Croatia, our guides will be happy to recommend other beautiful places to visit - especially those you won’t find in tourist guide books.
