Travel through stunning scenery and landscape of 5 Croatian National Parks, not only by foot but with a paddle on your SUP board! You will start your tour in Istria, the green peninsula filled with spectacular forests, verdant valleys, rustic villas and rich history, and continue through Croatia’s inland mountain region down to the Adriatic coast.
The accommodation is chosen carefully to reflect local feel close to the key destinations. We will stay in family run guesthouses and hotels on river banks or close to the sea side in historical Porec, charming Korana Village, picturesque Skradin area and UNESCO protected Historic City of Trogir. Arrival and transfer to Porec
Porec is not far from the airports and harbors of Pula, Rijeka, Trieste and Venice. We will meet you at Pula or Rijeka airport, train/bus station or in the harbor and take you to your accommodation. Our groups usually get together around mid-day which will give us enough time to take a short tour through the old town and visit 4th century UNSECO protected Episcopal Complex of the Euphrasian Basilica. Before sunset we will meet for a welcome drink, dinner and brief orientation where we will have a chance to discuss the upcoming holiday and get to know our guides and fellow travellers.

SUP Brijuni National Park
This morning we will meet with our paddle boards and get to know paddling technique. Adratic Sea is warm and clear so first few falls will be nothing but fun. Afterwards we will paddle inside Brijuni National Park, an archipelago of 14 islands are known as Josip Broz Tito’s private playground and favourite retreat. In the afternoon we will come back to Porec and grab an ice cream on the promenade.

SUP Kupa River in Risnjak National Park
Risnjak mountain range is named after a rare animal that inhabits its woods – the lynx. It is located in Gorski Kotar, the most mountainous and heavily forested region of the country, about 15 km inland from the Adriatic Sea. It includes both the Risnjak and Snjeznik ranges and the source area of the Kupa River where we will take our boards out. A short walk through the forest path will get us to this amazing spot. After paddling we will drive to Korana Village in Plitvice National Park area for dinner in the late afternoon.

Plitvice Lakes National Park rowing and walking
Today we visit the most beautiful and stunning national park of Croatia – Plitvice Lakes National Park. We start our day walking along the wooden paths and bridges in and around Plitvice Lakes National Park. Its exquisite series of 16 emerald green and opal blue travertine lakes, more than 90 waterfalls and numerous caves make it a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Once we reach its largest lake Kozjak, we will embark the park’s rowing boat and row in the pure and untouched nature. Panoramic boat and train rides will take us back to the start. Later in the afternoon we return to our accommodation in the village just in time to enjoy some free time before dinner.

SUP Krupa River
After saying goodbye to our village hosts we continue south towards Velebit mountain range. There await Paklenica National Park, part of a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, a favorite hiking and climbing destination and Krupa River, pristine and clear karst river full of travertine waterfalls. We will do our paddle boarding tour on Krupa River in the morning hours and after lunch, the group can decide to hike in Paklenica National Park or drive straight to our hotel for relaxation. Time permitting, we will take the most popular trail leading to mountain hut Borisov Dom.

SUP Trogir area
A last day of exploring takes us to Trogir, a historic town dating back from Hellenistic time, protected by UNESCO. After paddleboarding in Trogir area, you will have free time to wonder narrow and orthogonal streets and enjoy ice cream and coffee. We gather for a farewell dinner to celebrate our amazing adventure.

Departure
Depart from Trogir to Split or Zadar airport, bus station or harbour. If you decide to spend more time in Croatia, our guides will be happy to recommend other beautiful places to visit – especially those you won’t find in tourist guide books.
