This multi-activity adventure holiday will take you along the Mreznica River, through Plitvice Lakes National Park to Risnjak National Park in the mountain region of Croatia. You will explore this unique area on foot, by bike, on a Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP), and from a kayak. Our guides will seize every opportunity to steer you away from the busy everyday life ensuring a truly memorable experience which you will cherish for many years to come.
The Mreznica is considered one of Croatia’s cleanest rivers, with plenty of great places for swimming, canoeing, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking and rafting. The river is 64 km long, and is special for its 93 waterfalls and pools of warm water between them, perfect for refreshment away from beach crowds. Clear green water, unspoiled woods and magical landscapes make it one of Croatia’s most desirable continental retreats.
The accommodation is a friendly, family-run, 3* hotel on the bank of the Mreznica River, approximately one hour drive from Zagreb airport. The restaurant overlooks an old mill close to a small waterfall and serves freshly caught fish, as well as home-grown vegetables. Barbecues are also a speciality of the house. All rooms are equipped with en suite bathrooms, TV, mini bar, telephone, air conditioning, and have Internet access.

DAY 3 – Walking in Plitvice Lakes National Park

DAY 4 -Cycling in the Mreznica Area

DAY 6 – Walking in Risnjak National Park
The Risnjak mountain range is named after a rare animal that inhabits its woods – the lynx. It is located in Gorski Kotar, the most mountainous and heavily forested region of the country, about 15 km inland from the Adriatic Sea. The pristine park covers an area of 63,5 km2. It includes both the Risnjak and Snjeznik ranges and the source area of the Kupa River. We start our hike from Vilje, which will lead us towards our goal – Big Risnjak, the highest point of the mountain range. Schlosser’s mountain hut, situated 100m below the peak, is probably one of the most beautiful mountain huts in Croatia. After resting and enjoying the amazing view over the sea, other peaks of Gorski Kotar and even the Alps, we will descend slowly back to Vilje. After hiking, we will return to our hotel in the late afternoon.

Arrival and departure transfers: Several group transfers will be organized throughout the day, depending on group arrival times from the Zagreb meeting point and the Zagreb airport. Waiting time may take up to 3 hours. Arrivals after 6 pm may be subject to a surcharge of 30 euros per person.
Optional trips are not included in the price and can be booked on the spot. Optional trips cost approximately 40 – 70 € per person, payable on site, and are dependent on suitable weather conditions. The price is based on a minimum of 4 participants.
Maximum number of participants: 16 guests per group. Larger groups upon request.
Minimum age: 8 years if accompanied by parent(s).
Child discount: valid for children under 12 years of age if accompanied by an adult. One child enjoying a discount shares parents’ room; two or more children can have their room.
Single-use rooms are available upon request with a 20% surcharge. Sharing a twin room with another person is possible in case there are other guests interested in sharing.
