We’ll walk through ancient olive groves, follow paths along cliffs with great sea views, and explore hidden trails leading to quiet coves. Your journey begins in Dubrovnik, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a famous filming location for “Game of Thrones,” adding a modern touch to the area’s global fame.

You’ll stay in carefully chosen places that capture the charm of the Elaphiti Islands. From morning walks to evening hikes, our well-planned walking itineraries suit every pace and preference. Experience local culture as you pass through charming villages, trying authentic Croatian food along the way.

Arrival in Dubrovnik, transfer to accommodation

We meet in Gruz harbour at 4 pm and transfer to Komolac, a charming and picturesque bay, only 2 kilometers from Dubrovnik. Take your first welcome drink while mingling with fellow group members and get a chance to chat with your guide about the exciting adventures awaiting you in the days ahead.

Visit Dubrovnik and Hike to Mount Srdj

Playwright George Bernard Shaw once remarked that Dubrovnik is paradise on earth. Today, we embark on an exploration of this paradise, discovering its thick walls, numerous fortresses, cobbled streets, and charming restaurants while delving into its fascinating history.

After breakfast we hike to Srdj, the protective mountain to the north of Dubrovnik, offering panoramic views of the area. Afterwards we will take the time to explore Dubrovnik’s walled Old Town. Optional excursions include a trip to Lokrum Island with its botanical garden and olive groves, a guided tour of the Old Town, or a walking tour along Dubrovnik’s famous city walls.

Kolocep Island Hike

We take the local ferry in the morning and visit Kolocep Island, interesting for its dramatic scenery with rocky beaches, high cliffs, and colorful reefs. There are no cars on this tiny island so the walk through the villages will be very enjoyable. On your walk across the island, you will encounter many architectural remnants, witnesses of the turbulent history of the area: an old pre-Romantic chapel, ruins of a basilica, summer homes of Dubrovnik nobility, Napoelon’s fort, and more. A pleasant noon siesta will take place in a quiet and relaxing atmosphere of Gornje Celo Turquoise Bay, near one of the best fish restaurants in the area. At the end of our beautiful hike we return back to Dubrovnik.

Mljet Island National Park visit

In the morning, we will board a local ferry and travel to Mljet island.

Sipan Island Walking

Our walking adventure takes us to explore Sipan island. Enjoy the peaceful air filled with the scents of lush Mediterranean flora. The best part of the walk is a stunning view from one of the three highest peaks on the island that offers a beautiful vistas of the island’s valley. Sipan has 34 chapels and churches, each with a tale of history and local life. Walk through olive groves, a big part of Sipan’s character. Fun fact: Sipan is in the Guinness Book of World Records for having the most olive trees for its size.

Lopud Island Hike

Today we will explore the nearby Lopud Island. Lopud has many beautiful walking routes that take one from the shore to the top of the island and back. This island’s true treasures are its tiny churches and a fort strategically located at one of its highest points. In the past it served as an observation point and was used to protect the island’s safety. Prepare yourself for stunning views of the Elaphiti Archipelago and Mljet island.

Optional Trip or Beach day

Spend a relaxing day on Sipan’s beautiful beaches, where you can swim, snorkel, or kayak. You can also join one of our optional trips optional adventures suggested on the spot by our team based on availability. Please be aware that any additional trips chosen on the spot will have separate fees, payable locally.

Enjoy this peaceful end to your week of adventure. Use this time to relax before heading home or continue your vacation.

On your departure day, you have the choice to extend your adventure with special trips suggested by our guides. If you go for these extra trips, plan your departure from your place accordingly, so you have flexibility for a full and enjoyable day. Remember to schedule your flights to allow time for the additional adventure you choose. Leave with a final taste of Croatian wonders, making Day 8 a fitting end to your unforgettable walking holiday.

Ferry: 1 hour 15 minutes to Dubrovnik

This itinerary and the duration of the activities are subject to change due to group abilities and preferences, weather conditions and forecasts, water levels, special events of interest, etc. Huck Finn guides and trip leaders will do their utmost to ensure the best possible experience for their clients without compromising safety at any time. Arrival and departure airport: Dubrovnik

Arrival: Arrivals in Dubrovnik (airport, harbour or bus stations) are recommended by 3 pm in order to make the 4:30 pm transfer from Gruz Harbour. Airport transfers are not included. Group transfer from Gruz Harbour to Zaton Bay is organized and included.

Departure: You can book your flight from 10 am onwards. Earlier departures can be accommodated, but are subject to surcharge. The earliest ferries from the islands arrive in Dubrovnik at 7:30 am.

Optional trips are not included in the price and can be booked on the spot. Optional trips cost approximately 40 – 70 € per person, payable on site, and are dependable on suitable weather conditions. The price is based on a minimum of 4 participants.

Maximum number of participants: 16 guests per group. Larger groups upon request.

Minimum age: 8 years if accompanied by  an adult.

Child discount: 8-12 years of age at time of travel. One child enjoying discount shares parents room; two or more children can have their own room. Single use rooms are available upon request with a 20% surcharge. Sharing a twin room with another person is possible in case there are other guests interested in sharing.
