We designed this Dubrovnik multi activity holiday for those who love traveling, being active outdoors and exploring seaside, nature and heritage. Daily routes are rather short – 3 to 5 hours of easy activity. They are not demanding, fit for all ages between 8 and late sixties (no previous sea kayaking experience is necessary). This trip is perfect for families with children but also couples and solo travelers looking to get away from crowds. Designated family and adult departures ensure that you will be surrounded by like-minded travelers.

If Dubrovnik is a pearl of Adriatic, the Elaphiti Archipelago are emeralds thrown into the sapphire blue of the Adriatic. The string of 13 islands stretches north from Dubrovnik and is a genuine oasis of peace. Only three islands have people living on them year round and only around 600 people lives on all three of them combined. They are ideally located – we reach them in under an hour’s time from Dubrovnik and explore them while sea kayaking, cycling, sailing, swimming, snorkeling and hiking. Our experienced local guides and skippers will avoid overcrowded destinations ensuring you get the most authentic experience.

Last but not least, let’s not forget another important aspect of Croatian culture: its cuisine. You will discover fresh and full flavored Mediterranean cuisine and try exquisite Croatian wines.

Arrival at destination – Luka Sipanska

After the arrival at Dubrovnik Gruz harbor you will be transferred to the village Luka Sipanska. Sipan Island will be our base for the next week. The village is situated in a deep bay surrounded with palm trees and has spectacular sunsets. It is also a favorite mooring spot for the sailors so it is lively, but never crowded.
Sipan is the the largest of the Elaphiti Islands and is best explored by bikes or on foot. Enjoy the afternoon exploring the island, swimming and sunbathing.
Note: Arrivals are recommended by 3 pm. Arrivals by 6 pm are possible, but you may miss group dinner and orientation. Arrivals after 6 pm may be subject to surcharge for transfers or overnight on land.
Accommodation: 3*** guesthouse in Luka Sipanska; Meals: D.

Elaphiti Islands Kayaking and Paddle-boarding

The Elaphiti Islands are a perfect destination for sea kayaking. Each island is small and easy to kayak around and Adriatic sea is calm compared to the ocean. Its tides are insignificant, while strong currents and winds are rare and predictable, especially in the summer season.
We will paddle out of Luka Sipanska and head west towards the uninhabited islands of Jakljan, Tajan and Olipa where we will stop at the secluded shingle beaches for swimming and snorkeling.
Accommodation: 3*** guesthouse in Luka Sipanska; Meals: B; Sea kayaking: 2 -3 hours, easy
3

Cycling Sipan Island

Sipan is the largest of the Elaphiti Islands but that means it has just over 400 inhabitants. The number somewhat rises in the summer, but it is still quiet and almost traffic free. That makes it a perfect biking destination.
You will cycle through pine forest and olive groves, past country houses of Dubrovnik nobility, chapels and churches. We will also visit a local hilltop farm to enjoy the most beautiful view on the island.
Accommodation: 3*** guesthouse in Luka Sipanska. Meals: B. Cycling: 2 hours, easy/moderate
4

Lopud Island Hiking

Today we will explore the nearby Lopud Island. Lopud has many beautiful walking routes that take one from sea to the top of the island and back. Lopud is famous for its sandy beaches where you can have a nice swimming break. We will also visit a fort located at one of island’s highest point that served as and observation post in the times of Dubrovnik Republic.
Accommodation: 3*** guesthouse in Luka Sipanska; Meals: B, D; Walking: 2-3 h, easy; Ferry:15 min each way

Optional Trip Day or Beach Day

For those who chose a 5-day trip, this is the end of your holiday. You are welcome to schedule your homeward flight for any time. The rest of the group has a day off: you can relax on Sipan’s beaches, swim, snorkel, sea kayak or join one of the proposed optional trips.
Accommodation: 3*** guesthouse in Luka Sipanska; Meals: B.

Dubrovnik Sightseeing

It was Lord Byron who named Dubrovnik the “pearl of the Adriatic“ and rightfully so. Dubrovnik was an important mercantile republic from 13th to 19th century and its magnificent walls, fortresses, churches and palaces are witnesses of its power and wealth. Built entirely of white stone it does resemble a pearl in the oyster.
Take a walk around its walls, stroll up and down the labyrinth of medieval streets, do souvenir shopping. Or do what locals do: have a coffee on Stradun, its main street and enjoy people watching. You can also take an optional trip to the nearby islet of Lokrum. Just a boat ride from the port in the Old Town, it is a great for swimming break on a hot day and has loads of interesting legends about its history.
Accommodation: 3*** guesthouse in Luka Sipanska; Meals: B; Sightseeing: 3-5 h; Ferry: 1 h each way

Kolocep Island Sea Kayaking and Sunset Sailing

This morning we head out to Kolocep Island. The island’s cliffs, caves, coves and beaches, accessible only from the sea, make it Croatia’s best sea kayaking island. Snorkeling gear will be provided for you to explore the rich and colorful underwater world of the Adriatic. In the afternoon, a catamaran will take us on a sunset sailing trip around the area. Occasionally we meet friendly dolphins as we enjoy the sun setting over the Elaphiti. Return to Sipanska Luka in the evening for a farewell dinner.
Accommodation: 3*** guesthouse in Luka Sipanska; Meals: B, D; Sea kayaking: 3 h, easy/moderate; Sailing: 2 h; Ferry: 1 h
